Transitioning from UShop to uSOURCE

Apr 21st, 2015

Beginning Monday April 27, UShop will no longer be available for new order placement.  The timing and duration of the system shut down is planned to accommodate the transition activities required for switching to uSOURCE, the university’s new on-line purchasing tool (UShop and uSOURCE cannot be operated simultaneously).

uSOURCE will be rolled out to the community beginning in early June.

During May, purchases can be made and paid for by: using a PCard, manually processing certified invoices in FIS, or issuing departmental Purchase Orders.

To ensure your department is ready for the transition to uSOURCE:

  1. Order ahead through UShop – April 20 to 24 inclusive
  2. Order by alternate processes – April 27 to May 30
  3. Review and become familiar with the list of uSOURCE Approved Suppliers

On Thursday April 23, Procurement Services will be issuing an electronic survey to business officers in all departments to identify supplier usage frequency and related training needs. Survey responses must be submitted by April 30, so training sessions can be scheduled during May and June.

For help clearing up outstanding UShop orders please contact Nida Shams at 416-978-1403 or email Procurement.Services@utoronto.ca

We thank you for your cooperation during this transition, and we appreciate your continued support.
